Luminosity Gaming is one of the biggest names in esports right now, and after having made waves with titles such as Madden, Hearthstone, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Call of Duty, they’re fast becoming the team to watch when it comes to Fortnite too.
This is by and large down to them having the likes of Ninja, CDNThe3rd and SypherPK on their content creation team, but now LG have announced a new pro Fortnite team ready for the $100 million season ahead.
Fortnite: Battle Royale was always going to be a game with huge esports potential and now teams will be able to compete for a prize pot of $100 million. It once again shows just how far esports has come, with many bookmakers now offering betting markets on esports tournaments and leagues.
The new Fortnite: Battle Royale season is set to be a big hit in Asia too, where esports and betting in esports is huge.
The new Luminosity Gaming Fortnite team features some of the finest talent around. Abdiel “Aragon” Ortega, Brian “beesox” Song, Chris “crowdotwave” Merryweather and Nate “kreo” Kou make up the four strong team which was announced by LG just a few days ago.
These four will now be tasked with delivering on the world stage after they were the ones chosen following a good six months of talent scouting.

All four of the new Luminosity Gaming players took part in week three of the $500k duos tournament which is a part of the Summer Skirmish series that is currently taking place. LG will now be relying on their content creation team to mentor the new Fortnite roster as they prepare to compete with the very best around.
It’s the start of what could be a very fruitful journey and having the likes of Ninja, CDNThe3rd and SypherPK there to guide them will be a big help.
It’s not the end for the Ninja and co. on the competitive stage though as they’re still going to be competing in events from time to time. They’ve been involved in the $8 million Summer Skirmish series and while content is their main focus, they still have the ability to mix it with some of the most skilled Fortnite gamers out there.
Ninja, for many people, is their favourite Fortnite: Battle Royale player after seeing him win numerous tournaments while playing alongside celebrities such as Drake.
It will certainly be interesting to see how this newly constructed Fortnite team fares going forward, especially as they’re representing such a prestigious esports organisation. Luminosity Gaming have made waves across numerous titles since they were founded in 2015 and the pressure will now be on for Aragon, Beesox, Crowdotwave and Kreo to deliver.
They certainly have the right people and the right tools around them required to succeed but they will face stiff competition from rival teams, that’s for sure.
