A comedy show dedicated to Overwatch is coming to London.
Overwatched – a show from ‘nerd culture’ double act The Just Us League – will take place at the Backyard Comedy Club on 231 Cambridge Heath Rd on November 26th.
The Just Us League is formed of comedians Javier Jarquin and Gary Tro, who have previously performed their improv and scripted shows at the Shoreditch Improv Festival, Improfest and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The pair will be hosting guest comedians, performing sketches, stand-up and more. The night will draw humour from Overwatch, including its online culture, lore and its community of fans.
This is the second time The Just Us League will be presenting a show to a particular group of fans following their Marvel-based show ‘MARVELus: All the MARVEL Movies. Kind of.’
“We had so much fun doing MARVELus, we can’t wait to show people what we’ve mined from the Overwatch universe,” said Tro.
“Gamers are part of what can be, at times, an isolated and faceless community,” added Jarquin. “With OVERWATCHed we’re hoping to create a space for gamers to socialise together and find laughs in a very niche subject.”
Tickets costs £5 each, doors open at 6.30pm and the show gets underway at 7pm.
