This year’s December Insomnia gaming festival has been scrapped, and it looks like i62 will instead take place next spring.
Insomnia’s BYOC community and engagement manager, GeoSnipe, said on the Multiplay forums: “We worked incredibly hard to find an alternative venue to make a winter show more affordable during the Christmas season, as this was the feedback from many of you last year.
“However we were unable to source a location that would have provided a cheaper price point for our customers. So we are going to focus on ensuring we have the best events for you next year.
“So, don’t delay, grab your friends and come to i61, the LAST Insomnia of 2017 and make it the biggest we have ever seen!”
The annual December Insomnia event tends to be the quietest one of the year, compared to the spring and summer ones, the latter of which is usually the most popular.
