New Valorant Agent Veto has been announced. Alongside confirmation of his identity and position as a Sentinel, players also now know his full set of abilities.
What are Veto’s abilities, and how do they affect the game?
New Valorant Agent Veto: All abilities
The following are Veto’s full kit, as confirmed by Riot Games at the VCT Paris Grand Final.
Many of these abilities were predicted in the lead-up to his announcement.
For weeks before the VCT Final, many fans were speculating as to what the new Agent 29 would bring to the game. This speculation escalated rapidly, especially after very little was given away about him in pre-tournament cinematics, including the Valorant Champions 2025 Anthem ‘Last Shot’.
Nevertheless, players finally have their many suspicions confirmed:

Chokehold – Veto’s Q
Equip a trap comprised of a viscous, jelly-like fragment of Veto’s mutation. When fired, this mutation fragment creates a zone that holds opponents in place, also deafening and decaying those within the trap.
Enemies can destroy this trap. However, if they do so post-activation, the debuffs maintain an advantage for the new Valorant Agent Veto and his team.
Crosscut – Veto’s C
Equip and deploy a vortex that must be fired to place on the ground or on a surface. When in range of the vortex, the new Valorant Agent Veto can teleport back to it.
The Crosscut vortex can be recalled and redeployed in the buy stage. However, once the round has started, Crosscut cannot be redeployed. This means players will have to plan carefully, ensuring their placement gives them the best possible advantage.

Interceptor – Veto’s E
Valorant Agent Veto’s Interceptor is one of his most interesting abilities. Equip and fire to place in the projected location.
Once activated, Interceptor will destroy any utility that is capable of bouncing or rebounding off a player or utility that can be naturally destroyed using gunfire.
Enemies can destroy the Interceptor, but it can force opponents to either reconsider their use of utility or delay it considerably.

Evolution – Veto’s X (Ultimate)
New Valorant Agent Veto’s Ultimate ability introduces new strategic possibilities for Sentinel players. In fact, the ability blurs the line between Sentinel and Duelist, giving the Agent opportunities to push opponents aggressively rather than anchoring the team.
When activated, Veto fully mutates, gaining him a combat stim, regeneration abilities, and an immunity to all forms of debuffs.
Therefore, Veto is immune to utility for the duration of the round.
However, this only applied to non-firearms-behaving ability-based damage. For example, Brimstone’s ultimate will not affect him. However, Jett’s knives and Chamber’s weapons will still cause damage.

When does Valorant Agent Veto join the game?
Veto joins Valorant on October 7th. Additionally, a new game mode, Skirmish, will be introduced with the same update.
The introduction of Veto debuts a potential new era for Sentinel play. Blurring lines between traditional Sentinels and an aggressive ability almost akin to a Duelist, he is pushing the role in a more dynamic, flexible direction.
The release of VETO is proof that Riot actually listens and cares about the state of the game. We've been hearing so much about "being overwhelmed by utility" from the average players, so they finally give us an agent that can counter it all. WP @riotgames #valorant #vct

He also marks an essential step towards reducing the often frustrating barrage of abilities in Valorant rounds.
Many players complained about the overwhelming number of abilities cluttering the game.
Well, now, they have a way to make a veto decision on their use, thanks to Mr Veto himself.
