After five years, the wait is finally over. Replays have now been added to Valorant as part of Patch 11.06.
Riot Games showed off Valorant replays for the first time earlier this year.
Now, the most requested feature is finally in the game on PC, while console players will have to wait until November.
However, the fanbase are frustrated with some major features that are missing from the system.

Valorant PC players can download replays from their own Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Premier games.
This option can be found in match details and career pages to allow players to watch within the Valorant client.
Once downloaded, players can watch the first-person perspective of all 10 players or move around with a third-person camera.
However, Valorant players can only download replays from matches they played in.
This is extremely limiting for players who want to use the tool for self-improvement.
Riot taking 5 years to implement replays into Valorant but you can't download anyone else's except your own is peak game development. no replays of VCT, pro player povs, things people really want. you could watch demos and live games of any player in Quake and CS – in 2001

Valorant players can’t download professional matches and learn directly from the perspective of top players.
It’s frustrating for esports players too, as they can’t go further in depth when analysing opponents.
Coaches can’t download a teammate or client’s matches to look for areas of improvement.
Fans can’t analyse pro replays before placing bets on Valorant betting sites.
Even at a low level, you can’t watch a friend’s match if you happened to miss that session.
And this isn’t the only limitation either.
Replays cannot be shared and only function within the select player’s client.
Not one to complain much, but damn it was a whole miss and a half to release replays without this + VCT integration. Absolute bare minimum.

Other than that, shoutouts to the devs working on this cause replays seem to be extremely polished for what they are currently 🙌 pic.twitter.com/nDkdfiaijB
There are currently no clipping or sharing functions for the Valorant replay system.
This means you can’t show friends your highlights or post to social media without using third-party recording software.
How does the replay system in Valorant work?
While there may be a lot of missing features, the Valorant replay system does a very good job of what it does offer.
To download your replays, go to your Match Details or Career History page of a recent match and click the download button.
This will then turn into a play button, which you can use to go straight into the replay.
However, note that only replays of matches on the game’s current patch will be able to download.
So during the next Valorant update, you will lose all your previously downloaded replays.
Also note, you cannot download replays from Esports matches, Tournament mode or Custom games.
Console players will receive this functionality in Patch 11.10 at 5pm UK time.
