100 Thieves confirm dev1ce signing, completing roster

100 Thieves have unveiled four-time Major winner, Nicolai ‘dev1ce’ Reedtz, as the last piece of their new roster, completing their lineup.

The Dane reunites with 100T’s coach, Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander, with whom dev1ce experienced the bulk of his success in forging Astralis’ era of dominance.

100 Thieves balance veterancy and youth

The Danish AWPer had been linked to the project since its initial announcement, which saw Håvard ‘rain’ Nygaard join the lineup as its first player.

rain is expected to take the IGL role for the first time, after expressing interest in the role following his departure from FaZe.

Sandwiched in between the signings of rain and dev1ce was the acquisition of gla1ve as coach, before the rapid-fire announcements of André ‘Ag1l’ Gil, William ‘sirah’ Kjærsgaard, and Alex ‘poiii’ Nyholm Sundgren.

The roster is therefore a mix between extreme veterancy, and inexperience at the top level.

Even within the individuals themselves, that statement applies; rain has played professionally for over a decade, but has not been an IGL.

Likewise, gla1ve is one of the most legendary IGLs of all time, lauded for his tactical superiority over the opposition during the team’s peak, but this is his first coaching role.

Both will at least have time to acclimatise to the roles, as the roster will have to embark up the VRS ladder from scratch, beginning in open tournaments and local LANs.

Can dev1ce recapture form?

The distance from Astralis’s peak to today’s date will be an anxiety for the ex-Astralis duo.

Questions will abound on whether gla1ve has the same level of understanding of today’s meta as he did from 2016-2020.

For dev1ce, the level he has personally shown is one of regression in recent years, averaging a 1.05 HLTV rating in 2025 and a 0.93 rating at the StarLadder Budapest Major.

Fans of dev1ce individually will be hoping that escape from a languishing Astralis project will do him good, that the years of struggle, which saw Astralis desperately try to put together a competitive roster, will emancipate his game.

Yet, that concept is perhaps a little ambitious, as many analysts and commentators have pointed to dev1ce’s style being somewhat vulnerable to the dynamics of Counter-Strike 2’s gameplay.

Known for extremely dependable passive AWPing, CS2 has proven more punishing for that style due to increased peeker’s advantage.

In the ever-evolving world of Counter-Strike, dev1ce must find new ways to have impact if he wants to recapture his very best form once again.
