A report by Sheep Esports has revealed that Alan ‘Busio’ Cwalina is set to leave FlyQuest in favour of playing in the LEC.
The support is rumoured to join the French organisation, Karmine Corp, in a blow to North America, as it prepares for the return of the LCS.
Busio move would deprive NA of homegrown League of Legends talent
While Busio is a dual national of the United States and Poland, Busio is truly a North American talent when it comes to his League of Legends career.
The 22-year-old talent started as a mid-laner in the NA amateur circuit during the COVID-19 pandemic, before being picked up by 100 Thieves as part of their 100 Next programme.
The support spent seven months in that roster before a promotion to 100T’s Academy team, which competed in the NA Academy league and LCS Proving Grounds.
Again, it wasn’t long until Busio got his promotion, this time to Tier 1 in December 2022, before his move to FlyQuest in November 2023.
All of that is to say that, despite his Polish roots, Busio is truly an NA player by League of Legends heritage and career.
As such, the rumour has sparked barbs from EU fans towards the North American league, with LEC fans jokingly pointing out that NA fans now know how it feels to have their homegrown talent stolen by another Western region.
FlyQuest were infamous amongst LEC fans for the exact opposite trend, with Gabriël ‘Bwipo’ Rau and Kacper ‘Inspired’ Słoma moving from the EU to NA.
Yet it seems the tables have turned somewhat, with Busio’s potential move following Joseph ‘Jojopyun’ Pyun’s move to MKOI from Cloud9.
With League of Legends’ roster shuffle season just beginning, it would not be surprising to see other talent move across the Atlantic.

Report reflects number of teams pursuing changes
The report revealed that several other teams were pursuing Busio, with some organisations making almost wholesale changes to their rosters.
With Karmine Corp requiring a midlaner, their roster is not complete.
Neither is LYON’s, who allegedly missed out on signing Busio. Sheep claim that LYON are also targeting the potential signings of Inspired, Bill ‘Eyla’ Nguyen, and Brandon Joel ‘Josedeodo’ Villegas.
Shopify Rebellion allegedly also tried to secure the services of the 22-year-old Support, in a move that would see Denilson ‘Ceos’ Oliveira Gonçalves replaced.
Undoubtedly, however, the team with the biggest headache over the move will be FlyQuest.
In being deprived of Busio, they have lost one of three players whose contracts are running out.
With Bwipo also rumoured to not be FlyQuest’s 2026 starting toplaner, the priority must be to retain their hugely talented jungler in Inspired.
However, the Pole will be a highly desired commodity coming into 2026, with so many teams wanting.
There is no doubt that the Pole was not happy upon FlyQuest’s exit in what was a poor showing at Worlds 2025.
The question for FlyQuest may be whether they can give the jungler what he wants so that he stays.
