MSI 2025 broadcast talent announced featuring British duo Medi-Vedi

Riot Games has announced the broadcast talent for the 2025 League of Legends (LoL) Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).

Amongst the lineup are British casters, Aaron ‘Medic’ Chamberlain and Andrew ‘Vedius’ Day, known as the power duo Medi-Vedi.

MSI 2025 is set to kick off next week on Friday, June 27th, at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada.

MSI 2025 talent lineup

With this year’s MSI being held in Vancouver, Canada, it comes as no surprise that a majority of the broadcast talent comes from North America’s LTA North (formerly LCS).

LTA North staples of Sam ‘Kobe’ Hartman-Kenzler, Isaac ‘Azael’ Cummings-Bentley, Daniel ‘Drakos’ Drakos, and Clayton ‘CaptainFlowers’ Raines will all feature on the broadcast.

Alongside them will be fellow LTA North talent Emily Rand and Barento ‘Raz’ Mohammed.

Joining them will fan favourite British casting duo of Aaron ‘Medic’ Chamberlain and Andrew ‘Vedius’ Day.

Following them from the LEC will be hosts Laure ‘Bulii’ Valée and Eefje ‘Sjokz’ Depoortere.

Sjokz recently shared her diagnosis of clinical depression, which prompted vital discussions on mental health in esports.

Completing the lineup of broadcast talent are caster Maurits ‘Chronicler’ Jan Meeusen and interviewer Jeesun Park from the LCK Global broadcast.

This will be one of Chronicler’s final events as he recently announced his retirement at the end of this year.

Despite an all-star cast for MSI 2025, there is a lack of regional diversity within the lineup.

This is partly due to the lack of official English broadcasts for the remaining major regions.

Riot Games has relied on co-streaming to cover these areas, with the biggest example being the end of the long-standing English broadcast of the LPL.

Adding to this is the lack of English broadcasts for LTA South, despite the region supposedly being connected to LTA North, which dominates the broadcast lineup.

MSI 2025 teams

The full list of teams competing (in order of LoL Esports Global Power Rankings) is:

  • Gen.G Esports (LCK)
  • Bilibili Gaming (LPL)
  • T1 (LCK)
  • Anyone’s Legend (LPL)
  • FlyQuest (LTA North)
  • G2 Esports (LEC)
  • CTBC Flying Oyster (LCP)
  • Movistar KOI (LEC)
  • GAM Esports (LCP)
  • FURIA (LTA South)

As the top-seeded team from the top region, according to the Global Power Rankings, Gen.G Esports will be the favourites coming into the tournament.

On the opposite side is the LTA South’s Furia, which will be the underdogs heading into the tournament, according to LoL esports betting sites.

Leaving room for the team to defy the odds against the best in the world.

FlyQuest with Canadian hero Fahad ‘Massu’ Abdulmalek will be the only LTA North representative and the fan favourites throughout the tournament.

Meanwhile, Movistar KOI will also feature a Canadian fan favourite in Joseph Joon ‘Jojopyun’ Pyun, who come into MSI as the LEC first seed after defeating G2 Esports.

G2 Esports will also be looking for revenge against Movistar KOI alongside reasserting their dominance on the international stage.

New MSI 2025 HUD

Recently, fans have reacted poorly to the new viewer HUD, which will debut at MSI 2025.

Riot Games initially experimented with a new HUD for the First Stand international tournament, where viewers were not impressed.

The publisher has said that they’ve taken fan and commentator feedback from that event to create the new MSI display.

While most agree it’s an improvement on First Stand, the new MSI HUD has still received a mixed reaction.

Most notable was Los Ratones’ owner and popular streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont.
