Originally a surprise announcement at E3 2015, the mobile construction and management simulator quickly became a hit amongst fans.
The game has since expanded to PC and console and grown into a fan-favourite experience with more than 230 million installs around the world.
To celebrate a decade of Fallout Shelter, there are special in-game rewards as well as discounts on the game’s lootboxes.
Lunchbox discounts are only available for the mobile and PC versions of the game, while in-game rewards are only for the mobile version.
Over the past decade, players have built thriving vaults, fended off countless Radroach invasions and kept their Dwellers well-fed and entertained, all in the name of survival.
Last year, the game received a major update featuring content inspired by the TV series, which brought in a new wave of fans.
This included the additions of Lucy and The Ghoul as unlockable vault dwellers for players to use.
To go alongside this were new questlines and locations as well as new themes, weapons and outfits that were featured in the show.
This milestone is a testament to the community that’s kept the game alive and evolving for 10 years and counting.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game, Bethesda is offering up to 70% discount on lunchboxes, the game’s version of loot boxes.
However, these sales will vary depending on the platform, with console versions being excluded from this deal.
On top of this, players who log in during the anniversary event will receive exclusive in-game rewards.
During the following days, players will receive these in-game rewards for logging in on the mobile version:
- June 16th – June 17th: Lunchbox x2, Pet Carrier x1, Nuka x10
- June 18th – June 19th: Lunchbox x3, Mr. Handy x1, Nuka x15
- June 20th – June 21st: Lunchbox x5, Pet Carrier x1, Nuka x20
The Fallout Shelter anniversary event starts today and lasts until Saturday, June 21st.
