League of Legends Patch 25.12 featuring Uzi Hall of Legends

The penultimate patch before the Mid-Season Invitational and the launch of Jian ‘Uzi’ Zi-Hao’s Hall of Legends skin has arrived.

Skins are back on the release schedule, with a slew of balance changes added to the game.

Here are the key points you need to know before grinding ranked on Patch 25.12.

Hall of Legends – Uzi

Love it or hate it, the Hall of Legends event returns this patch and will kick off tomorrow at 8pm BST.

To honour the latest member of the Hall of Legends, there will be an in-game event pass which details Uzi’s career.

The premium event pass will also feature the Risen Legend Vayne skin with all-new effects.

At the higher price comes the Risen Legend Kai’Sa, which only features new effects despite being almost three times the price of a Legendary skin.

Other highlights of the Hall of Legends paid pass include:

  • Risen Legend Vayne Skin & Border
  • Risen Legend Vayne Event Chroma (Mythclimber)
  • Frosted Ezreal, PROJECT: Lucian, Fae Dragon Ashe skins
  • 125 Mythic Essence
  • 11 Loot Chests
  • 13 Uzi-themed Icons & Emotes
  • Soak It Up Ward
  • Relentless Hunter Banner
  • “Crazy Little Dog” Title and more

For those who prefer to save a little money, Riot Games will try to entice you with the return of ‘Your Shop’ on Tuesday, June 24th.

Patch 25.12 champion balance highlights

Overall, this patch introduces many cautious changes across the board, with many champions receiving minor tweaks, slight buffs, or buffs with nerfs to offset them.

However, there is one exception to this rule that many players may find… okay.

Rammus has seen changes to his entire kit, which shift his damage towards more upfront output.

These changes have also granted Rammus more attack damage, with his passive now giving bonus AD based on his armour and magic resist.

To supplement this, his Defensive Ball Curl (W) now has improved scaling with magic resist, taken from the previous armour scaling.

The spiky ball of fun has also received a few quality-of-life changes, allowing for smoother and higher-skilled gameplay.

Frenzying Taunt (E) can now be cast immediately after Powerball (Q) collides, and the Powerball-empowered Soaring Slam (R) can now be cast at any range if fast enough.

Other notable changes include:

  • Aatrox has greater healing from Deathbringer Stance (P) and Umbral Dash (E).
  • Garen’s Judgment (E) has increased attack damage in both base and scaling values, possibly to offset the critical strike damage nerf from the previous patch.
  • LeBlanc’s Ethereal Chains (E) has increased scaling and reduced cooldown on Mimic (R), making the Deceiver even more deadly in preparation for the release of the imprisoned Darkin.
  • Neeko’s early damage has been nerfed in favour of greater scaling in the later stages of the game.
  • Senna’s Absolution (P) now has a reduced chance to drop souls on minion kills, as Riot Games attempts to place her back in the support role.
  • Twisted Fate’s Stacked Deck (E) now provides increased attack speed and reduced cooldown on Destiny (R), offering a slight buff to his non-damaging spells.
  • Yorick saw major nerfs to the attack speed on Shepherd of Souls (P), dramatically reducing his early-game presence.
  • Zeri’s Lightning Crash (R) has increased attack damage scaling, making her a fearsome late-game pick and possibly ushering in a new age of Lucian-Nami/Zeri-Lulu.

Other changes on Patch 25.12

Grasp of the Undying has been a comfortable pick for scaling mid lane champions for a long time.

Now the rune is 40% effective for ranged champions, which will lead to indirect nerfs to Azir, Aurora, Gangplank, Smolder, and whatever was left of tank Jayce.

The Dragon’s basic attacks now trigger effects such as Thornmail and Rammus’ Defensive Ball Curl (W), making Rammus players happier than they already were.

Finally, there is one less button click for ARAM players, as character swaps have reverted to the original version, since there are no lanes to swap to in ARAM.
