Another new patch and new updates for League of Legends (LoL), featuring Pride 2025 emote, behavioural system adjustments, and more.
Patch 25.11 will be a relatively small update, however, it also brings the greatly anticipated updates to the poorly received Masque of the Black Rose skin line.
Northern League of Legends Championship fans should note that the finals will be on the previous Patch 25.10.
New on Patch 25.11
The biggest of the changes is that there will be no new skins for this patch. Likely a surprise to many since Riot Games has released skins in each patch for over a decade.
In their stead come updates to the Masque of the Black Rose skin line, which were initially released during the Welcome to Noxus event.
Earlier this year, the skins were heavily criticised online for their lack of quality.
Riot Games has revised its designs and has now updated the skins in this patch.
In addition to these changes, Riot Games has also made some adjustments to their Behavioural Systems.
Targeting soft-inting for higher-ranked players as well as being more forgiving to genuine disconnects from the game.
Lastly, the Brawl game mode has received some balance updates, including an end to the infamous stay-at-home team composition.
Previously, some ranged champions that could easily clear minions were able to stay in the safety of their base without losing a single point.
The developers admitted they were aware of this before launch and have finally added a fix to reduce damage to minions if players stay in the base for too long.
Pride celebrations
The latest patch arrives in time for Pride month, which starts next week.
In support of the celebrations, Riot Games has released a new emote featuring Rell painting the bisexual flag on their face.
Rell is one of eleven queer characters in LoL, having many flirtatious lines towards champions of either gender.
In addition to the new emote, the new update will see the return of the Pride emotes from 2022 and 2023, available for a single Blue Essence each.
Players can also interact with Pride this year with a special mission to complete.
Titled ‘United Together’, players who complete three games as a premade team will receive enough experience to pass a milestone for the Spirit Blossom Beyond battle pass.
Also returning to the rift are the Pengu Summoner Icons that will also activate Pride trails for 25.11 and 25.12. Also available for one Blue Essence each.
League of Legends buffs, nerfs and adjustments
Smolder has been hit with some minor nerfs just after receiving buffs in the previous patch, however, expect nothing to change other than the extra odd death across every few games.
Ryze’s level six and eleven power spikes will hit a lot harder as the Overload (Q) and Flux (E) empowered damage is increased.
Aatrox’s Deathbringer Stance (Passive) received a significant nerf to damage at later levels, which has been offset by increasing The Darkin Blade (Q) sweet spot damage.
In terms of items, Horizon Focus has received some love, as it’s now cheaper with some extra Ability Power.
Other notable changes include:
- Ashe’s Ranger’s Focus (Q) can finally stack on structures.
- Diana’s Moonsilver Blade (Passive) now does significantly more damage to jungle monsters.
- Garen adjustments to reward higher skill play, including nerfs to Judgment (E) critical strike damage.
- Samira’s Flair (Q) and Inferno Trigger (R ) are now super effective with lifesteal at 80%.
- Twitch’s Contaminate (E) has increased Ability Power scaling per stack, which might encourage some to revive Twitch Support.
