Twitch’s top streamer and gaming personality Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, is the latest to join the Red Bull Gaming family as part of its ongoing Athlete program. The popular British streamer has been topping the Twitch leaderboards for some time and garnered much praise for his entertaining content and work with his team, Los Ratones.
Announced over social media, he now joins Red Bull Gaming to further elevate his brand and content with the support of one of esports’ biggest sponsors. To celebrate the announcement, Red Bull Gaming posted a surprise video on Caedreal’s official subreddit featuring a few familiar faces.
The video features esports legend Faker greeting the British influencer, followed by fellow online personality Ludwig, who goes on to note that Caedrel is another League of Legends streamer to join Red Bull Gaming. The message is then accompanied by a flurry of greetings and messages from G2 Esports players Caps and SkewMond, fellow streamer and team owner NoWay, and prolific gamer and part-time F1 driver Max Verstappen.
Watching the video on his stream, he couldn’t contain his excitement as he saw the supportive messages. In utter disbelief, the first few words he could put together were, “Is that AI?”, and later wholsomly stating, “I’m gonna save this video and send it to my mum.”
Alongside joining a pantheon of influencers and athletes, Caedrel was gifted a welcome crate by Red Bull, which he opened on his stream to the delight of his fans. Going as far as to suit up in the proper Red Bull attire, the official Red Bull Gaming Twitch account took to his chat to simply state, “Looking good.”
Caedrel went on to recap his previous work with Red Bull Gaming. Including casting Red Bull Solo Q, participating in Red Bull League of Its Own, and being invited to join their F1 team at the racetrack.
With his growing audience and previous work with Red Bull, this seems like an inevitability for both brands. With the details being finalised and announced last Sunday.
