100 Thieves have booked their place in the Stake Pulse Beat II playoffs after going 2-0 through Group C, according to Dust2.us. The result sets up a quarter-final appearance in Stockholm for the roster featuring AWPer Nicolai “device” Reedtz and IGL Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen.
Their opening match against EAC went the distance. 100 Thieves took EAC’s map pick of Mirage 13-8, with the CT side accounting for nine of those thirteen rounds. Inferno was tighter, with both sides trading 7-5 halves before the match spilled into overtime. It took a second period of extra rounds to separate the teams, with 100 Thieves eventually winning 19-16 despite an ace from EAC’s Andreas “anber” Brandt in round 34.
The second series, against Phantom, needed a reverse sweep. Phantom took their own pick of Nuke 13-9, but 100 Thieves responded with a 13-4 win on Mirage built around a 2.14-rated performance from William “sirah” Kjærsgaard. Gizmy then produced a strong attacking half on Inferno, rated 2.23 on the T side after a quieter CT stint, and device closed out the decider with a triple kill in round 23 to seal the 2-1 series win.
Group results confirmed by HLTV
HLTV reports that Stake Pulse Beat II has now reached its playoff stage, with Astralis, HEROIC, 100 Thieves and JiJieHao all advancing through the group phase without dropping a series. The site’s summary lines up with Dust2.us’s account of 100 Thieves’ unbeaten run through Group C, though HLTV’s own match-by-match breakdown was not accessible at the time of writing.
The event carries the naming rights of Stake, the crypto and betting operator that has sponsored a run of CS2 tournaments over the past year, placing Stake Pulse Beat II alongside a growing list of competitions carrying betting-brand branding on the Counter-Strike calendar.
100 Thieves’ quarter-final opponent in Stockholm has not yet been confirmed. Their group stage numbers were led by sirah, who finished the two series with a 3.0 rating of 1.26 and 21 kills on Mirage against Phantom, while device posted a 1.23 rating across the same matches.
