UK Valorant star Benjy ‘benjyfishy‘ Fish will be competing in the €30,000 mixed gender VCT Valorant Spotlight Series EMEA 2024 this month.
He’s playing for Zerance and is teaming up with fellow UK player Ethan ‘Sevire’ Starke, Chinese player Akita and French players lux9 and Loupiote, the latter of whom is also a broadcast talent/personality in the scene.
The Valorant Spotlight Series EMEA 2024 will run from October 10th (today) to October 24th 2024. Its final will take place at Paris Games Week 2024 at the Paris expo Porte de Versailles.
The double-elimination tournament will feature players from the top-tier Valorant Champions Tour, women’s Valorant Game Changers and path-to-pro Valorant Challengers leagues.
Other UK talent in the tournament includes YaBoiLewis on Fokus, UK coach Bambino on Koi, and Sarah on GiantX.
Host Yinsu will also work alongside casters Ash (Canada) and Jorby (USA).
There will be 14 invited teams taking part, including BBL Queens, G2, GiantX, Karmine Corp, Koi, Alternate Attax, Fokus, Gamax, NASR, NOVO, SK, Twisted Minds, Valiant and Zerance.
Fnatic, meanwhile, are a notable absence from the tournament. While they don’t have a Game Changers women’s team, it’s still a shame they haven’t put together a roster for this tournament, especially given Fnatic CEO Sam Mathews said in a recent interview with us that one of their values is inclusivity.
Benjyfishy’s main team is of course Heretics, with whom he almost won Valorant Champions 2024 back in August.

The news comes a few days after G2 Gozen won the women’s VCT 2024: Game Changers EMEA Stage 3 final 3-1 against UK and Spanish org GiantX.
GiantX have also secured a spot in the women’s 2024 Valorant Game Changers Championship with their GiantX GC team.
GiantX are also competing in the Valorant Spotlight Series EMEA 2024, with the roster: ness, runneR, sarah, Smurfette and westside, with coaches Pipson and Aska.
